I'm reaching out to ask for help for my dear aunt, Daisy.

My aunt is my mom’s oldest sister, and truly one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. We love her so much, and right now she really needs our support.

Daisy has been living with Parkinson’s disease for several years. Although her condition has remained stable, she recently fell off the bed and suffered a fractured femur. She now needs urgent surgery to regain her mobility and prevent her neurological condition from worsening.

As many of you know, Venezuela is an incredibly difficult place to face medical emergencies. The public healthcare system is severely limited, hospitals often lack safe conditions, and essential medical supplies are very expensive or hard to find.

I'm creating this GoFundMe in the hope that we can help my tía cover the medical expenses for her surgery, as well as the medications, diapers, and supplies she needs for her recovery. Funds will also support my cousin Julio, who is currently in Colombia, so he can travel back to Venezuela and care for her. They haven’t seen each other in a long time, and I know their reunion will give her the emotional strength she needs to keep going.

Hoy estoy pidiendo ayuda para mi querida tía Daisy.

Mi tía es la hermana mayor de mi mamá, y de verdad es una ternura de persona. Es la tía más dulce, la amamos muchísimo, y en este momento necesita de nuestro apoyo.

Daisy ha vivido con Parkinson por varios años. Aunque su condición había estado estable, recientemente se cayó de la cama y sufrió una fractura de fémur. Ahora necesita una cirugía urgente para poder volver a caminar y evitar que su condición neurológica empeore.

Como muchos saben, Venezuela es un lugar muy difícil para enfrentar emergencias médicas. El sistema de salud público está muy limitado, los hospitales no siempre son seguros, y los materiales médicos son costosos y difíciles de conseguir.

Estoy creando este GoFundMe con la esperanza de que podamos ayudar a mi tía a cubrir los gastos médicos de su cirugía, además de medicamentos, pañales y los insumos que necesita para su recuperación. Los fondos también permitirán que mi primo Julio, que está en Colombia, pueda viajar a Venezuela para cuidarla. Ellos tienen tiempo sin verse, y sé que ese reencuentro le dará fuerzas para seguir adelante.
