Hello everyone. I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my wife, Nora. Things have been... pretty tumultuous over the past few months. In late January, Nora suffered a severe mental health crisis that necessitated a week long hospital stay in an inpatient care facility. Fortunately, her stay had a lot of positives: namely being prescribed an antidepressant, the effects of which have been quite frankly life changing. Her mental health has improved drastically; this accompanied with regular therapy sessions truly feel like we are starting a new, hopefully better chapter in our lives together.

Of course, this has come with some obvious caveats. Though her insurance covered a signifigant portion of the stay, we still owe about $2,000 dollars -- but this is thankfully discounted to about $1,300 dollars if we pay in full by August. The other caveat is that her work did not grant her the medical leave needed for her stay, which resulted in multiple paychecks getting slashed. Shouldering the general living expenses with this decrease in income has been very difficult, but we are thankfully getting by. However, we... really do not have the savings to cover this bill.
