Asher is 8 months old and has recently been diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s Disease. This is a condition in which the bowel does not work correctly and usually results in Colostomy Surgery. Asher has been in the hospital since January 5th and is scheduled to have surgery on January 12th. My husband works nights and I work days in order to support our sons and so we don’t need daycare. However I have not been able to work since Asher was hospitalized. We have insurance coverage but it will not cover all the costs of Asher’s hospitalization.
