Help Support Saju Abraham George and His Family in Their Fight Against Cancer

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

We, the Kerala PEI Cultural Association (KPCA) and the Malayali Community of Prince Edward Island, are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend Saju Abraham George and his family, who are facing an incredibly difficult time.

A New Beginning, A Harsh Reality

Saju, his wife Angel Mary, and their two young boys, Chris (8) and Unni (7), moved to PEI in April 2023 with dreams of a brighter future in Canada. Originally from Central Travancore, Saju worked for several years as an accountant in Dubai before deciding to start fresh in Canada. While Angel secured a position as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at KCMH Hospital in Montague and began working toward her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse, Saju faced challenges finding work in his field and instead took up roles as an Education Assistant at a school and part-time at Tim Hortons. Their children, full of hopes and dreams, are thriving in grades 3 and 1.

A Life-Altering Diagnosis

Their journey took an unimaginable turn when Saju was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. While doctors are still working to determine the primary source, the disease has already spread throughout his abdomen and chest. He has begun an intensive regimen of chemotherapy and immunotherapy every three weeks, but the road ahead is long, uncertain, and filled with immense challenges.

A Family in Need

With Saju unable to work, Angel has taken on the burden of providing for the family while balancing caregiving and temporarily pausing her studies to focus on supporting her husband. Despite these hardships, they remain resilient and focused on building a bright future for their children.
