Presciliano 's Electrical Shock Recovery

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Salazar daughter of Presciliano Salazar. On Monday April 29, 2024 my dad was involved in a life threatening electrical accident. He was electrocuted while working on a roof top, he made contact with a power line sending high voltage of electricity. Caused flames inside his clothing resulting burns. The electricity passed down his left arm down his lower back, through his right leg and out through his foot. He sustained second and third-degree burns. He laid on the roof for approximately 2 hours until rescue could determine the best and safe way to remove him. Thank you local community fire department, family and friends that helped the day of the accident. He was eventually airlifted by helicopter from Coyote NM. to Albuquerque's UNM Trauma unit. A life threatening decision was confirmed by medical team to be flown out to Lubbock TX ICU Burn Unit. Since then the nature of this high emergency situation has created a financial hardship for my father, brother and I. This is the beginning of along journey to his recovery, my brother and I have had to travel back and fourth from Albuquerque and to Lubbock multiple times to care for our father. He has already received many treatments and amputations removing necrotic tissue and toes. On Monday May 13th he will he will under go another surgery and remove a toe along with skin grafts treatment that sustained over 20% of his body. This will be another trip to Lubbock . As a daughter single parent I am trying to make the best decision for my dad's care, with the help of dad's family.I want to express my deepest gratitude for all the love , counsel, support and donations that I have already received from family and friends. UMC Lubbock TX burn unit team have been amazing, cared and treated my dad they truly saved my dads life. Go Fund Me Page was created for this very cause it has been a rough, emotional journey. Intense rehabilitation will take place in Albuquerque NM. Once UMC doctors has the clear of my dad's treatments and is healing. This was not an easy task with out the love and support from my family . We are also very much appreciated of your thoughts and prayers as my dad heals and recovers for this accident. Thank you.
