Hi, I'm Daniel (DJ) Deane-Ryan and I'm in 7th grade! If you know me, you know I LOVE to sing and learn about other cultures. I'm thrilled to have been selected to perform at Carnegie Hall with the The Strathmore Youth Chorus (SYC) Chamber Ensemble on March 26 - 29, 2026. Thank you for supporting me and helping me to cover the costs of this wonderful experience!

Last year, a small group of us made the trip to New York to compete in the annual Heritage Festival. There were only eight of and we were, by far, the smallest group. We were small but mighty! We impressed the organizers so much that they invited us (and the full choir) to come back this year and sing at Carnegie Hall! Even more, part of the trip involves seeing my favorite play, Hamilton, on Broadway. I already know all the songs by heart! This is a trip of a lifetime!

This is my 6th season singing with SYC. Every year performing at Strathmore on a world-class stage has brought me a feeling of exhilaration. You can hear many of our concerts over the years on our YouTube channel and see me in my black outfit and orange tie in the video from December 2024's World of Celebration (and some fun at min. 38).

We are out singing almost every weekend to raise the necessary funds including performing at different farmers markets and other holiday events around the DC area. Anything you contribute is deeply appreciated and makes a real difference!
