Typhoon Mawar Recovery
Donation protected
On May 24th, Super Typhoon Mawar made landfall on the Island of Guam. With its 140 MPH sustained winds and heavy rainfall, it was the most powerful storm to hit the island in the last two decades. The aftermath left the island covered in debris, fallen trees, collapsed structures, downed power poles and significant flooding with millions of dollars in property damage. As a direct result, the majority of the 150,000 residents were left without power, clean drinking water or internet for several weeks.
During the storm, several Hensel Phelps families homes were devestated by the Typhoon. While every individual on Guam sustained damage to their homes, this fund is intended to assist the Hensel Phelps employees whose homes experienced catastrophic failure and will need to be replaced. There are some employees currently camping on their properties to prevent theft of their few posessions that survived the storm.
Any help that you can provide will go directly to these hurting families to get them back up on their feet.
