Help me ANSWER the CALL (CPE)

One of my goals for 2024 is to complete my first unit of the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Howard University School of Divinity. Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is an accredited training ground that provides an opportunity and accountability for clergy and other spiritual practitioners to develop their skillset regarding compassionate caregiving. CPE at Howard University takes place over the course of 15 weeks (January 31, 2024 - May 15, 2024), 6 hours per week in addition to 300 clinical contact hours with community members at my Clinical Site Placement.

Enrolling in a CPE program has been a dream of mine since starting my theological education at Howard University and is now one of the most important steps in my professional and spiritual journey as a minister and future licensed social worker. I am looking forward to my skills and knowledge bank expanding to serve in my current ministry context and beyond (i.e. prisons, the marketplace, educational settings, and other healthcare settings). I continue to sense a call to transformative and healing-centered radical care in the lives of people during their time of vulnerability and uncertainty and completing my first of four CPE units is crucial to my personal, academic, and professional goals.

Pursuing this God-sized dream does come with a cost, tuition is $2500 and must be submitted by January 12, 2024. Considering all this, I need your support in making this dream and goal turn into a reality. Your donation will enable me to enhance my compassionate abolitionist healing-centered approach to ministry.

Because I know times are hard on the boulevard for most of us, I am asking 370 people to give $5 to offset the cost of my CPE tuition by January 12, 2024.
