Dear Friends and Family,

We are creating this GoFundMe with the news that The Rabbit's Foot is suddenly closing. After an incredibly difficult summer and crushing debt, the cafe's last day will be Sunday, December 3rd. We are shocked and left feeling incredibly anxious at how vulnerable this leaves many of us.

We know that finances are tight this time of year, but with less than a week's notice of closure we will be prioritizing helping our incredible staff land on their feet. We are starting this fundraiser with the goal of raising 2 weeks of payment for all 12 employees to provide financial support while we all look for new jobs during the holiday season.

The Rabbit's Foot is a small local business that has made a big impact in the lives of its staff and its community. This is a massive loss for the Lower Garden District, and for everyone who works at the cafe. We have felt the immense love and support from our community since opening our doors in 2021, and we could not be more thankful. We are hoping that our patrons, friends, and family will donate and share to ensure the wellbeing and livelihood of our baristas and cooks.
