Update: Thank you from the depths of my heart. Seriously. Thanks to all of you we were able to secure an adorable new place to live and celebrate Christmas together. We will be moving this week and could use one extra push to cover the moving truck, utility deposits, and food for this week during the moving process. Thank you again for helping my little family this year. We couldn't have made it without you. Im so excited to see what next year has in store for us.
Well friends. It's me again. Feeling defeated that I have to yet again reach out for help. Hoping this will be the last time.
As you all know, we've not had the easiest time over the last 2 years and thought things were looking up for us. Well once again the universe had its own plan for us.
After getting behind on rent, we negotiated a payment plan with our property management company which apparently they never forwarded to their corporate office. Their corporate office pushed through an eviction notice without communicating anything with us. We've tried calling the local office and they have said there's nothing they can do after corporate pushes through the eviction. They are having us pay what we owe AND move....all right before Christmas with a baby. We thought everything was arranged and set up until a Sheriff deputy showed up with our eviction notice on Monday.
We've reached out to a legal aid attorney who is being very helpful but they are still advising us to move asap. We could really use the help to pay deposits and a moving truck. Moving this close to Christmas basically means no presents for us or our baby but having a secure place to live is all the present I need.
I know times are tough for all but anything helps. I'm not asking for help for myself or Alex but to please help Riker so he has a home for Christmas. It's bad enough I'm still grieving the loss of my amazing Memmaw but to now add this extra stress it's been the hardest week. Somehow it's my birthday on Saturday. Consider it the best gift you could give me-- helping fund my baby's new home.
