Tailwind for Adi - make someone's dream come true

Hey we're Henning and Marielle and cycling the world since March 2022. But this isn't about us, it's about Adi from Indonesia, an incredible kind and heartwarming guy.

We were lucky enough to meet Adi on our bike trip around the world, as he is a host on Warmshowers and has a real name in Indonesia in this community that provides bike travelers with a warm shower and often a roof over their heads. Everyone knows Adi. And no matter who comes through Malang, Adi warmly welcomes everyone, whether for a night or a week. This year alone, he has shared his house with more than 30 cyclists and offered them a home.

He receives nothing in return, except that he can also travel a little through the stories of people from other countries. Because that is also his big dream, a bike trip somewhere far away. Perhaps seeing snow, drinking tap water, foreign smells and landscapes.

However, it's not so easy for him, as earnings in Indonesia are very low and a plane ticket alone is often out of reach. In addition, there are passport and visa costs.

We would therefore like to help Adi, who has supported us and so many others with their dream, with his.

We would like to raise money for his passport, a visa and a return flight for him and his bike. Simply to give back some of the warmth and unconditional hospitality that he has given to countless travelers for so many years.

The money is only for Adi and his journey. Not for us or someone else. When we reach the donation target, we and some other cyclists will help him with the bureaucratic tasks.
