Rahul’s surgery

Hi I’m Rebecca and I’m trying to raise money for a family friend. Rahul is a friendly, and caring individual who works tirelessly as a Community Development Officer. He was a positive and energetic influence across Morawa during his time there and recently moved to Perth to continue his community passion at the Town of Victoria Park.

Unfortunately and unexpectedly on the afternoon of 29 November 2023, Rahul suffered a brain bleed and has subsequently been taken for emergency treatment and surgery at a Perth Hospital.

Rahul as an Indian resident on an Australian Graduate visa does not have access to Medicare, and his Private Health Insurance will only cover a portion of his medical costs.

This go fund me page has been started with the aim of providing funds to support Rahul and his wife to cover out of pocket medical costs, and to genuinely show support to a caring and passionate person who would happily give up his time and energy to help others. The out of pocket is going to be about $14,000 and I’m not expecting to raise that amount but hopefully I can raise some money to go to helping them in their time of need.
