Help Cami get back on her feet

Thank you so very much to everyone who donated! Wow!! Your generosity and show of support have helped in so many ways. Beyond the logistics of helping with expenses of Cami’s medical needs, this wound up being some much needed sustenance for her soul. Thank you for showing up for our girl when she was in a really dark place and in a desperate time of need. Cami is just so humbled and grateful in receiving your gifts.

Hi, my name is Lianna and I am fundraising to help a friend in need. As many of you know, my best friend, Cami has been dealing with a slew of medical conditions in recent years, including a rare autoimmune disorder, which threatens her life daily. Thankfully, between several Rx meds, biweekly treatments at the oncology infusion center, and of course her service dog, Onyx, Cami has been able to keep her anaphylactic reactions to a minimum and has been able to avoid extended stays in the ICU. Maintaining these treatments comes at a hefty price, however, even with good health insurance.

Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances this year, mounting expenses have caught up with Cami. She had to take off work earlier this year to be with her mom in the final weeks of her mom’s battle with cancer. After her mom passed, Cami was driving home from Arizona and got into a car accident hitting a deer, and incurring more expenses for car repairs. More recently, she has had to take an extended leave from work and is at reduced pay while on disability. In addition, Cami’s roommate suddenly and unexpectedly had to move out last week, which increases Cami’s portion of rent. The consequence of all this is that Cami now finds herself unable to pay for all the medication and treatment that’s required.

Anyone who knows Cami knows what a warrior and a dragon slayer she is. Up until this point, she has managed to take on every challenge and medical diagnosis with the most positive and optimistic attitude you’ll ever find in anyone! But these unforgiving circumstances this year have gotten the better of even one of the strongest and most resilient people I know. Please join me in showing our love and support of Cami, to help her to get back on her feet, to get this dark cloud to pass a little faster, and get her back to a place where she can afford all the meds and medical care she needs. Her life literally depends upon it. No amount is too futile to be helpful, truly. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration!
