Genuine Time of Need

Hello, my name is Neva Quintana and I am raising money on behalf of my friend, Ashley, McBall, and her family.

After contracting endocarditis, Ashley underwent emergency open heart surgery doctor said she was very unlikely to survive.
Yet, she did, but only to be rushed directly back for a second open heart surgery with an hours to address internal bleeding.

We know that it is nothing short of a miracle that she survived. Unfortunately Ashley experienced complications following her surgery and contracted Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).

This condition in and of itself has a very high mortality rate for those with no additional health concerns but for those who do survive, they often do not survive without losing multiple, and often all four limbs.

We are now dealing with the reality that Ashley will have to undergo the amputation of her left toes, and her entire right foot.

she will be fitted for a prosthetic on her right foot, and we pray after physical therapy and learning to walk again she will be home with her family by Christmas Eve.

There is yet another unique challenge that this family faces. Ashley and her partner Michael are the parents of a daughter with special needs. A miracle in her own right Michaela, who has cerebral palsy requires round the clock care.

Before Ashley fell ill, she was the caretaker for her own mother and her daughter Michaela.

However, due to the situation, Michael has taken on the role of caregiver to their daughter as well as managing back-and-forth travel to see Ashley 90 miles away.

This required him to withdraw temporarily from his pursuit of his bachelors degree at Colorado State University of Pueblo.

As you can see this is not a story that could be described in a few short words. This family has overcome several life altering circumstances that could single-handedly take moat people out.

While they may have been knocked down, they are not out of the fight. They are united and stronger than ever but now they need our help.

Their entire lives have changed and they were already struggling to find single story housing for Ashley’s mom before all of this happened and that is someone they will need now more than ever.

with all of the unforeseen circumstances come unforeseen expenses.

Please prayerfully consider coming along side this family and showing them that they are not alone in this challenging time.
