Help Save Mokka’s Life

This is Mokka. She’s 2 years old & is usually full of energy, ready to play with you & run all around the house. She loves hugs & cuddling, & bringing in rocks to trade for treats. She’s very rambunctious but loves deeply, so much so that she’ll always look forward to your presence no matter what.

On Sunday morning, she was feeling quite tired & lethargic - very unlike herself. We just thought she must’ve ate something bad or had a tummy ache so we didn’t think much of it. On Sunday evening, she started to pee blood. No other warning signs. We rushed her to the ER & stayed with her until early Monday morning (around 3AM). They weren’t sure why she was feeling this way & assumed it may have been liver failure. We took her home with some medication & booked an appointment with our primary vet the earliest we could. Long story short, she is doing slightly better - but not for long. So far they have diagnosed her with IMHA, a type of autoimmune disease. Although it is not likely liver failure anymore, she is currently hospitalized & receiving blood & plasma transfusions along with IV fluids & a dozen tests.

Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t ask for large things like this. $10,000 is a huge ask. I never thought I would create one of these & I’d hate for anyone to also write one of these fundraisers. But… she’s just 2 years old. They say she has a high chance of a long, healthy life if we can continue treatment. However, we just started to hospitalize her. Every single day is going to rack up in costs. They said it would take several days for her to heal & I just don’t have that kind of money, honestly. I am genuinely asking all of you from the bottom of my heart to donate something, anything. If you can’t donate, please share this across your socials so someone you may know can.
