Charlie Is In Need Friends and Family!

Hello to all!

My name is Charlie, and I live in Broomfield, CO. I work full-time at a grocery store and have done so for the last thirteen years.

A month ago, I fell off my bicycle, during a normal commute home from work. I take routes that are intentionally designed for bikes and pedestrians, and I avoid cars as much as possible. During this incident, I was riding alone on a concrete walk path with no other people around me.

The bike veered off the path to the left, I overcorrected to the right, but the height of the concrete path was too high for the wheel to get back on it, so it got caught on the edge of the concrete, and I fell over to the right, landing on my right forearm near the elbow, and the top of my right shoulder.

As a result of my fall, I ended up with a AC grade 2-3 separation in the right clavicle. This will not require surgery, Thank God. But, because of my injury, I have been unable to work for the past month, with another two months expected for full mobility. My job is physically demanding, so to return too soon could exacerbate the injury further.

At this time, I have exhausted all of my PTO (paid time off) hours that I've accrued over the past few years of working, and now the time has come for me to ask for help. I've exhausted all other available options, though I am still working with insurance and employee benefits to help soften the financial blow.

I am asking for help with paying my rent, power, phone, and dog food for Silo, my German Shepherd. Nothing more. I intend on going back to work in February after I have finished rehabilitating my shoulder.

My rent is 995 (this includes water, heat, and trash), power is around 50, phone is 50, and dog food is 80. These are all on a monthly basis, so I am asking for help with the next three months. We set a goal slightly higher than those costs, as returning to work still won't provide a paycheck for 2-3 weeks after getting back.

I have cut out all unneccesary costs like streaming subscriptions and Internet access, so please understand this request for help is sincere.

I am normally able to work and cover all my and Silo's needs without any struggle. Because of my shoulder injury, we're behind on the necessities, and rapidly approaching a point of no return in regards to paying rent and bills.

I try not to ask people for much, but I've been backed into a pretty frightening corner right now. If you're able to help us, we would be so grateful. Please share this as far as you can, no matter whether you are in a position to donate or just share my story.
