My partner and I are trying to raise money for our beloved dachshund Colin. Unfortunately in August 2023 Colin suffered with a grade 2 to 3 IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) and had to undergo spinal surgery. Our pet Insurance covered the whole costs of the incident (a total of just over £8000).

Colin recovered well but unfortunately has now relapsed, and slipped another disc, this time more severe. Our pet insurance has just about covered the costs of the MRI scan and subsequent medication, however we are now unable to afford the recommended surgery. Based on costs of the previous surgery, this is about £5000.

We are heartbroken to be in this situation, we don’t have anywhere near that kind of money ourselves so are hoping to raise the money to cover the costs of his surgery. We hate to ask for money but this is our last hope to save our fur baby, and regardless of the outcome, at least we can say we have tried everything.

We love Colin so much. He is my furry soul mate, and a special member of our little family. We would be so lost without him.

We are so incredibly grateful for any donations, big or small, in helping Colin have a chance of recovery.

If we aren’t successful in reaching the target, any left over money after subsequent vet bills will be donated to The Red Foundation (Dachshund Rescue).
