Ryan’s Chiari Malformation Surgery Recovery

Hi, my name is Niki and I’m Ryan’s sister. It saddens me to post that Ryan has recently been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Type I. For those who don’t know what this is, it’s condition in which the lower part of your brain presses down and through the base of the skull into the spinal canal. Ryan will undergo surgery on January 18 to help relieve some of his severe symptoms. This will be a long and painful recovery in which will result in him taking a lot of time off of work. His place of employment does not offer Paid Time Off or any short term disability options therefore he will not have any source of income during his time off. I’m sure everyone who knows Ryan knows he is hard working and passionate about helping others in need. Please let’s join together to help him in his time of need.
