Harley recover from being hit by a car

I have started this fundraiser for Lucy and little Harley who was hit by a car on 27th November. There are so many people who love Lucy (perhaps some of us Harley more) and who I know would want to help if they were able. I also know that Lucy won’t want to ask for help. I appreciate that times are tough for everyone right now with bills and Christmas and just living in general so please, only donate if you can.

I also want to be clear (to avoid any negative comments) that Harley is insured up to £10,000 but he is already way past that amount and of course, there are future rehabilitation costs. As he is over 5 years old 10% of the costs must be covered by Lucy.

A little about what happened:

Harley was enjoying his daily evening walk on Lee on Solent beach when something caught his eye and he gave chase. It happened in seconds and before he could be called back, he was hit. Lucy rushed him to the out of hours vets who gave initial treatment and then to their normal vets the next day where he underwent tests and fluids.

Harley is now at Anderson Moores where he has had further tests and CT scans. He has a broken pelvis, ruptured ACL, fluid in his abdomen and an air pocket in his thorax. He goes in for surgery tomorrow and for those of us whose doggies are our babies we can all think of the anxiety and worry Lucy is going through right now and if I can ease any of that, I really want to try.
