On 11/25/2023 around 2am, Taby was driving and came on another driver who was going 20 MPH or more under the speed limit. As Taby went to pass this person after honking, the driver of the other car shot Taby.

The bullet shattered her passenger window, and impacted her above the nose. Miraculously through her own sheer will to live, and through the amazing efforts of the Eskenazi Hospital team, she has been making a steady recovery day to day.

That being said, the long-term implications of this tragedy are unknown, as there still has to be optical surgery and a long rehab process before assessing what Taby's quality of life will look like both short and long term.

Taby is as much the face of her place of employment, Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, as any staff member. Her family, her team, her guests, and her friends are all rallying to her side.

I ask you to give whatever you can, to help provide a sense of financial security to this young woman in a time where nothing but healing should be her priority going forward.

The funds for this will be deposited in her grandmothers account, whom Taby has lived with for several years.
