Help Marla Fight Pancreatic Cancer

Hi I'm starting this fundraiser to help with expenses related to my treatment for Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma including medical expenses, transportation to chemotherapy/radiation/medical appointments, home medical care and general daily living expenses.

I was diagnosed in May and I have since completed 11 of 12 rounds of chemotherapy. After my last chemotherapy on 12/5 I have my 8th Endoscopic bile duct surgery for stent replacement on 12/12 then am going for radiation "mapping" on 12/13. Prior to Christmas I will be beginning chemo radiation which is daily radiation Monday-Friday for 5 weeks and oral chemotherapy in conjunction. After I complete that I am hoping I will be a candidate for Whipple surgery in January/February. When I met with my surgeon last my tumor had stayed the same size and 2 major blood vessels were engulfed by the tumor. He met with the tumor board and I am cleared for Whipple surgery after chemo/radiation and am still waiting to hear back from the transplant team to see if they can rebuild my artery and approve me for surgery. If I am able to have Whipple surgery I will be able to get my life back and add a few years to my life. It is the only known cure for Pancreatic Cancer and is a major operation and I will be hospitalized for a while and will need help during recovery.

I started a go fund me in September to help with emergency expenses and am grateful to all of those who donated and sent well wishes. I'm starting this one to help with mounting medical expenses, transportation for 5 weeks of chemo/radiation and for home health care/rehabilitation post surgery if I qualify. I have been without an income since the end of June and Social Security Disability finally kicks in in December and am in need of assistance to pay bills and for treatment/transportation/healthcare expenses.
