I am your local rooster sanctuary gal, here to ask the great community for a little help.
I am the owner of Dream big mini farm sanctuary, here in Nevada city.
I give farm animals a forever home, mainly roosters, I give farm tours to kiddos of all ages (spring through sunmer)
So many animals needs forever homes and the budget gets tight sometimes for feed and veterinary expenses also snacks and shelter and fencing, to keep everyone happy, healthy and safe.
we are jumping into opening a thrift and gift to help benefit the farm animals & we could use a little help securing the building and getting it open.

our projected date would be before Christmas, fingers crossed we can make that happen.

A little back story ;
Here at Dream Big Mini Farm we provide a forever home to all farm animals. No farm animal left behind. In order to continue to provide care and space for animals always coming to live on the farm we are in need of some help.
Dream Big Mini Farm came to light 3 years ago this February 2024.
We rescued some abandoned goats that were pregnant and once that feeling of joy came, from helping animals, we couldn't stop. Our journey started long, long ago though when the owner wanted to become an animal sanctuary when she was a little girl. She dreamed of no animals being left behind, no animals without love and care, shelters empty and no animals needing to be euthanized to make more space.
Jessica, The owner, went through veterinarian schooling, she has always had a love for animals, when she moved to acreage she knew what she wanted to do, save the animals.
2 years ago, after rescuing and adopting many animals a family friend brought up hosting farm tours, teaching kids about animals and the care that they need to own them. Tours were a hit, a very successful first six months. Then covid hit and lots were weary, tours slowed down and donations got very minimal.
The winter weather set in and we succumbed to 3 feet of snow, 13 days with no power and freezing temps.
Jessica knew that she needed to make better and more space for harsh weather to protect the animals. Spring of 2021 came and the repairs started to set in, unfortunately they were extensive and everything in the building department had sky rocketed.
Dream Big Mini Farm was unable to open for tours in the year of 2022, which also meant no donations for the farm.
The hope of 2023 kicked off good, and we are reaching out to our community to seek help.
We at the farm want to host tours this next year, we want to have kids and families visit us and we want the animals to get to know you. We just need some help getting there.

We are planning to open a Thrift and gift very very soon, like 20-30 days soon. This store will benefit not only the sanctuary but the community as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

if you can share with family and friends and groups and if you can donate, even a small dollar amount, it would greatly help the animals needs.
