Reef Doctor's mission is to protect marine and coastal habitats while providing a self-sustaining pathway to poverty alleviation in rural communities of Southwest Madagascar. Coral reefs are necessary for both goals—they are critical to environmental health and critical to the survival of Malagasy communities via the flourishing fisheries they create.

Reef Doctor, in partnership with the ARMS Restore project, is building six large coral reefs in Southwest Madagascar. Beginning in January 2024, local communities and project partners will put into action a reef design that leverages traditional and ecological knowledge to speed up reef growth and support coral dominance. New reefs mean greater bounties of food to reduce malnutrition, stronger protection of coastlines, and even more natural beauty.

Around this giving season, Reef Doctor would appreciate any and all donations to support the team’s efforts to build these coral reefs in the coming year. Your donation could be responsible for the birth of a new coral colony!

Thank you for your contribution and please spread the word to friends and family!
