Joy and I have been friends for over 20 years and this woman has never asked for help. She now needs all the support she can get as she enters into a long battle with cancer.

In Joys own words...

Anyone who knows me, knows I am a very private person . On October 30th I was delivered a life changing diagnosis of pancreatic cancer !! I was in shock , devastated and in complete disbelief . I was healthy, no symptoms . I literally started to turn yellow . Since then it’s been a whirlwind of tests, scans, drainage tube on my side, bloodwork weekly , chemo port in my chest and a hospital stay. Yesterday I walked into the cancer clinic for the very first time ! It was a surreal out of body experience. I sat there thinking what my life has become ! I have lost my health, financial stability, my independence. Realizing this is going to be my new life for the next number of months and praying to come thru on the winning end. Through out this devastating news I am so grateful to have such an amazing support system , I am truly grateful and blessed. My beautiful Megan who is also broke inside , has been my lifeline, my strength , my encouragement, my nurse, my everything !! She truly is my motivation. Her daily words are “we got this mom”. So here we go. Let the fight begin.
