Hi, my name is Deana Nall and I'm fundraising for my niece's funeral costs. She is the daughter of my brother, Ray Henry and his wife, Doris Meredith Henry.
Jenny was a sweet, loving and very innocent young woman who was encumbered by a moderate mental handicap. She loved swimming, hiking, going on trips with her family, bowling, puzzle making and much more. She loved life in spite of her handicap and enjoyed living at her group home where she had many friends. We loved her very much!
She had just returned to her group home from an early Thanksgiving trip home and seemed perfectly fine at first. She ate some cheesecake, her friends joked about her leaving her monkey slippers at home and then she and her mother went to her room to sort out her summer clothes. Suddenly, Jenny tensed up and looked scared and fell back on the bed. Her mom screamed for someone to call 911, but when they came, nothing could be done in spite of their lengthy efforts. This happened Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023.
Jenny was put on life support while her father made the 1 1/2-hour trip to the hospital to see his daughter. The family later decided to take her off life support, since it was confirmed that she was brain dead, and she would never be herself again. We later found that her lungs were full of blood clots which caused a heart attack.
Jenny's parents were not prepared for the death of this energetic young woman and are hoping that kindhearted people everywhere will help them gather the funds to pay for her funeral. Brown Funeral Home in Hugo, Colorado was gracious enough to allow them some time to raise the funds. Please help this family during their profound grief during this holiday season.
