Nine Year Old Noga's Final Chance To Beat Cancer

Donation protected
Six years ago, when she was only 3 years old, Noga and her family's lives were turned upside down with the diagnosis of Noga’s advanced stage Neuroblastoma, an extremely rare form of cancer that mostly affects children.

After three years of fearlessly battling her aggressive cancer, Noga’s doctors in Israel exhausted all of their treatment options. In a final attempt to save their little girl, Noga's parents made the difficult decision to leave behind their family and life in Israel to pursue an experimental treatment that is only offered at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) in New York.

Noga's journey at MSK has been grueling. Six months into receiving the various vaccines that were recommended as part of the experimental treatment, the family received the devastating news that Noga's cancer returned. Noga began her journey to beat cancer for the third time with countless treatments and two aggressive surgeries on her spine, but the cancer was resilient and insisted on coming back. In the midst of her painful reality, Noga continues to defy expectations with a spirit that shines brighter than the darkest of prognosis's.

The nightmare Noga's family was living somehow got worse when their eldest daughter, Roni, was also diagnosed with cancer. Roni began seeking treatment at MSK for a year and a half alongside her little sister. While Roni recently completed treatment and is undergoing a two year follow-up period, Noga still has an uphill battle ahead.

With doctors who believe in Noga's recovery, and a very determined 9 year old girl, there is a new two year treatment plan designed for Noga- their final treatment option. As you can imagine, the cancer diagnosis of their girls has added overwhelming medical expenses and an enormous amount of financial stress. They are running out of money (and time) and living on a visa that, even if they had the time to work, does not allow them to. To that point, the family is urgently seeking financial aid. The money we raise together will go towards all medical and living expenses for their family over the next two years. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact, providing Noga and her family with the only option to get their daughter the care she needs, and their final hope that they can create lasting memories together.

Noga's laughter, resilience, and boundless love has become a beacon of hope for everyone touched by her story and with your help, we are hopeful to give our sweet, optimistic, Noga the chance at life that she deserves.

We, quite literally, cannot do this without you and appreciate your help from the bottom of our hearts

*In an effort to be compliant with the T&C of GoFundMe I am adding additional information. My name is Alanna Wattenberg and I have started this Fundraiser to raise money for sweet Noga, my cousin’s daughter. As mentioned above, the funds being donated will be used to cover the medical and life expenses for Noga and her family while they live in New York without an income. I am handling the finances on behalf of Noga’s parents, Dana Garti Refael and Tomer Refael.  As they are not US Citizens, I will be writing them checks directly.
