What started with the girls and I becoming homeless in Dec 2022 to escape my abusive Ex and be together has continued with us still not together and still no control over my home. He fought me for custody and the house, and suddenly passed away last year during that legal battle. I’m stuck with Texas courts just to remove his name from the deed.
One of my daughters remains separated from us, living with a church family, she has no income or medical insurance. We’re doing everything we can to reunite her with us. Meanwhile, last year Rosey endured 10 surgeries and 7 ICU stays, leaving her with over €71,000 in hospital debt that insurance refused to cover. Thanks to a family friend who has generously covered OVER $25,000 so far in legal fees and mortgage payments to help us keep fighting for our home, we’ve been able to keep from losing our house but of course, we need to pay him back.
This journey has been long and exhausting, but we remain resilient!
