Retford Lifesavers On Their Journey to Australia

We are fundraising to support Retford and District Lifesavers on their journey to the Lifesaving World Championships 2024 on the Gold Coast in Australia from 20th August - 8th September.

We are taking a squad of Lifesavers to compete in this event to showcase their Lifesaving skills. They have been working hard for two years to get to this point. Entry fees alone are over £2000. Please can you contribute to helping the group to achieve their inspirational goals.

They will take part in events such as ocean rescues, pool rescues, competing in a simulated rescue or accident scenarios, in which their management of the situation will be assessed. There will be beach track events, ocean swims, and much more to test their skills and knowledge.

Initially, your generous funds will help to support their journey with additional training sessions here in the UK, equipment and kit to be used in the UK and then hopefully kit to be worn at the event in Australia.
