2023 Chewed me up and spit me out! Please help me!
Donation protected
Hi yall! As some know, this year has been very difficult. I don’t even understand some of it, but it’s gotten to a point where my little family needs help.
dale and I were t-boned back in June resulting in multiple bulging/ herniated disks followed by lots of physical therapy and specialist treatments. We ended up having to pay out of pocket for a bunch of things until we got a lawyer because the other guys insurance is awful. We both also missed a lot of work and school through the healing process. I powered through the last couple months of school during this time and got my cosmetology license! It felt like eternity but the school worked around my injuries so I could finish.
A month into starting my apprenticeship at work, my grandfather went into the hospital. Anyone who’s close to me knows he is like a father to me. He got very sick and ultimately needing to go to a nursing home then ended up passing shortly after. Through all this, paying for travel, hotels, unfortunately a new set of tires because they mysteriously got slashed either at a convenience store on my way to the valley or at the hospital and then taking in the cost of funeral arrangements and burial costs. We were tremendously lucky to receive a couple donations towards the funeral and the family is grateful but it unfortunately left me with a hefty amount to pay off. Not including a grave marker! My aunt a I look forward to picking one out for him hopefully next year.
In the middle of the trips to and from corpus and the valley to visit and care for my grandfather, I got a severe ear infection ending up in the er. Through treatment for the ear infection, a 3” mass was found in the lining of my heart along with gallstones in my gallbladder. Although the mass appears benign it is a grower and will cause more severe health problems in the long run. So it had to come out ASAP. The removal of my mass was on the morning of November 28th. I will definitely be unable to work for two weeks, but possibly up to 4 weeks or more. same for the gallbladder if we decide to remove it during my consult with the general surgeon . I’m learning very quickly as I write this in the hospital the day after surgery.. healing from this is NOT going to be as easy as I thought.
I’m trying very much to keep my chin up and stay positive. With holidays here already, hospital bills stacking up , credit cards looking pretty rough and property tax around the corner I’m asking for help. Any help. I understand that everyone has their struggles and mine aren’t anyone else’s responsibility, but I have decided to let my pride down and ask for help. I am so grateful for even just a share of my gofundme. I love you all so much. Thank you for even taking the time to read my story. Every cent will go directly to helping my family get back on our feet.
