Hi everyone,
My name is Joaquin, and I'm 16 years old. Today, I received the notification that my team and I will be going to Italy in February 2024 to participate in the 74 edition of the Viareggio Cup, this tournament has been played since 1949, it's one of the most prestigious youth tournaments in the world. This competition is recognized by FIFA, The Italian National Olimpic Committee, and the Italian Football Federation. The best clubs around the globe compete every year.
Along this tournament participated big names like, Francesco Totti, Gianluigi Buffon, Romelu Lukaku, Cuti Romero, Papu Gomez and many more.
This is a once-in-a-life opportunity for me, and I look forward to showcasing my skills and all the hard work I have been doing during the past years, and hopefully to have the chance to be scouted while in Europe.
This tournament will be held between the 8th and 27th of February, so it's a 19-day competition costing about $ 5,000.
My family and I are trying our best, but it's a bit difficult for us at the moment, also because I have to be at school during the week, plus the soccer training, I can only work on the weekends for a few hours. I also work on weekends to reach my goal. I'm looking forward to getting this goal as quickly as possible to organize the trip opportunity.
