Homegoing for James E. Terry Jr.
Donation protected
Our father was found deceased on Monday, November 27, 2023. My youngest son and I found my father's body. We walked in his door and my son gently whispered Gdaddy? While thinking he was sleep I called out daddy as well but received no response. Once the front door shut, there was no reaction from my father. As I slowly approached him, I checked his stomach area just to see if it was going in and out (breathing). There was no movement. It wasn't until I grabbed his hand and knew my daddy was gone. His arm was cold like ice.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. James suffered a stroke in December 2020. Regardless to the stroke, our dad determined the stroke wasn't going to slow him down.
An insurance policy was located only to find out it wasn't any good. There's no way to explain the brick wall we hit once finding out that information. My father was on social security. In order to have my father laid to rest $4000 is what is needed to cover his end of life expenses.
We are seeking your assistance with our fathers' homegoing celebration. Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated. I understand that it's the holiday season and funds are tight so if the only thing you can do is share, that will help as well.
Thank you for your love, support, and assistance during this time.
