Lena's travel for Brits medical diagnosis

Donation protected
UPDATE of 1/9/2024. Lena shared an update of Brits diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis a few weeks ago. Treatment has had some ups and downs but for sure it was super helpful that Lena went with both her medical knowledge and mommas concern. They are so thankful of all the donations and prayers and shares. It really helped. Lena is finally on her way home!…. On her return flight though -the airline in South Korea was delayed due to deicing and she missed her connecting flight and had to get another one. Please reshare/continue to include them in prayer and if you have extra give to this little cause. Thanks again for the care and love you gave to this little family.
UPDATE from Lena
Hi everyone. I want to give an update on Brit. We saw an ENT Dr. at the international university hospital on Monday (Korean time). He seemed uninterested, he said it'll get better. I asked for speech therapy, he allowed it. We saw the speech therapist right away. He determined it's not vocal cord problem but that the muscles responsible for cord movements are very weak. I discussed possible Myasthenia gravis (because she was told a few years ago that she probably had it because of eyelid drooping). He said he'd agree with that as possible cause. Needs complete workup by neurologist. Thank God the hospital has a neurologist who specializes in that condition. Unfortunately, his next available appointment is December 27!! Brit is still struggling to speak, choking a lot and trouble holding her head up.
Thank you all for the love, support and prayers!!

Hi My name is Camille I am organizing this GoFundMe for my friend Lena and her unexpected medical travel expenses to be with her daughter Brittany. Her daughter Brit is experiencing a medical condition and is very far away in South Korea. Since it is so last minute the plane ticket alone is 3000.00! Brit is an English teacher and followed her dreams to live and work internationally a few years ago. However she lives alone and has been sick for 5-6 weeks with paralyzed vocal chords inhibiting speech and swallowing. Doctors believe it could be caused by an auto-immune disease or a neurological disorder and have referred her to a University Hospital for diagnosis next week in a city 3 hours train ride away. This gives Lena just a few days notice to get there to literally speak and advocate for Brit. Please consider giving what you can to help Lena out with managing these expenses.
