Elijah Lawson needs our support. As you may know, Eli was recently very unexpectedly diagnosed with testicular cancer, likely indicating stage 3 as it has spread to his lymph nodes, and a small mass was found in his lung. This horrible disease means that he is out of work for the foreseeable future. Your donations will help support his loss of income and help cover mounting medical expenses.
Eli has never met a stranger and always knows just how to make a crowd laugh. He served 6 years with the Navy as a linguist, as well as a plethora of odd jobs, from working in Alaska to operating a vehicle under a CDL, and is now a bartender at a bar called Tin Roof here in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
This whole event transpired on Friday, the 17th of November 2023, when he woke up to intense pain in his abdomen and a swollen right testicle. After a couple of laughs about having to receive an ultrasound, the doctor returned with the news that they had found a mass in the right testicle. A day full of CT scans, MRIs, X-rays, and just about everything else under the medical umbrella, they came to the conclusion that the mass was malignant and had metastasized to his right lymph node in the back of his abdomen, and the small mass in his lung.
As of Tuesday, the 28th of November 2023, he went in for his right radical orchiectomy, essentially the surgery to remove the testicle. He is recovering now and in high spirits. Pathology will test the mass in the coming weeks and rescan the lymph nodes. The oncologist stated a very high possibility for chemotherapy. Eli will be out of work for roughly 3 months, if all goes well, and would greatly appreciate any generosity and support you can provide to him.
"Thank you all so much for the time to read my story as I fight this terrible disease. While it should have been more earth-shattering, it's been such a positive event for me as it has made me re-realize just how much love and support I have in my life from those around me" - Elijah Lawson
