Samantha’s Fight
Donation protected
April 17th update: Samantha saw her oncologist today and she will continue chemo for 6 more rounds making today’s chemo the half way point of her treatment. She is doing fairly well but has a tough time with side effects after her treatments. She has had to resign from her job due to her ongoing treatment and overall health. This means they are down to only one income and she has to start a new insurance deductible making things really tough. Continued prayers/support is greatly appreciated! We know that we serve a faithful God who will not abandon us through any storm.
Update: Samantha was on day 10 of her oral chemo Fri. Feb. 2 and got really sick. She was admitted into the hospital and is still here today Feb. 13 and probably will be here through the weekend. They stopped her oral chemo and today are starting her on a new IV chemo. Please continue to pray that this chemo is the right one for her and for complete healing.
Today 1/19/2024 is the first round of Chemo. Please continue to pray that this chemo will work!
UPDATE:
It has been a busy time trying to navigate the whole treatment plan for Samantha. Her Gynecologist Oncologist has referred her to another new oncologist who will be overseeing her chemo. She had her port put in on Thursday, 1/11. She will get her first IV chemo treatment on Friday, 1/19. She will also be taking chemo pills. She has a PET scan Monday, 1/22. We are praying that the surgeries got most of the cancer and the chemo gets the rest. Please continue to pray for her and that this treatment will be the one for her.
As many of you may know, my daughter Samantha was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. As you can imagine this came as a shock to all of us as she is only 30 years old and we have no family history. She had emergency surgery to remove the cancerous cyst however she had some complications with that surgery which lead to a hospital stay and recent scans show the cyst has grown back. She is scheduled for a total hysterectomy on December 7th and will start chemotherapy 6 weeks after.
She fortunately has insurance but has to meet a pretty steep deductible and is currently out of work with no pay as she has exhausted her PTO with her first surgery. Her medical bills are starting to come in along with her regular monthly bills. It is my hopes to raise money to assist her with her insurance deductible as well as monthly bills. Finances should be the last thing on her mind as she prepares for this fight against cancer. Any donations no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated. If you are unable to contribute monetarily, prayers are most welcome! Thank you
