Please help this Santa Monica Rape Victim!

Santa Monica Police Report Number: 23-110778, reporting officer: Corwin #4160, assigned Santa Monica Police detective Davis.

The victim, a woman who has been a long-term Santa Monica resident since the 1990s has been sexually assaulted and raped during Thanksgiving week last week and her belongings including purse with wallet, prescriptions, prescription glasses, as well as a bag she cared with her getting ready to travel were stolen by the suspect. He even stole shoes and clothing items off her during the assault.

The victim sustained injuries and this fundraiser has been created to help with ongoing medical care and specialty doctor appointments. The basic insurance plan she has does not cover the immediate need for a neurologist, orthopedic specialist, ophtalmologist and dentist. The victim does not have vision insurance and the dentist plan does not cover the needed repairs.

She still does not have her cell phone replaced and has been unable to get in touch with friends and family. She hopes to be able to replace the phone early this week.

Since the Rape Treatment center is only an outpatient program that only focuses on helping in a limited way that does not include needed counseling (she received referrals) and medical care, this matter has become very urgent.
