Dearest Family & Friends

On the morning of Nov 20th our strong, precious, brave, kind Dylan had an unfortunate fall. This fall has left him with five different bone fractures. Three of which would traditionally be treated surgically. Due to Dylan’s rare bone disease, Lymphangiomatosis/Gorham-Stout Disease, he is unable to undergo surgical repair. The surgical outcomes would render catastrophic risks that do not currently outweigh the benefits. He is admitted to Lurie Children’s Hospital and is being cared for by some of the top medical professionals in the country. He has been placed in a lower body splint in order to help the bones heal in the best possible position. His road to recovery is shaping up to be far beyond anything he and our family have experienced to date. We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of prayers, love and support for Dylan and our family. Time will tell the overall prognosis. We anticipate a lengthy hospital and rehab stay. Along with the need for important, necessary home equipment in order to care for him. Any contribution you can provide will greatly impact the life of Dylan and help ease the stress of Bill, Melissa, Tighe and Jack.

Let me start with a heartfelt thank you. We have been blessed to have a support system that loves one another, rises to the occasion when we are in need, and demonstrates such a high level of emotional and financial help without ever having to ask for it. On behalf of Dylan, Melissa, Tighe & Jack we say THANK YOU. Thank you for being here, for praying for Dylan and for sending positive vibes via text, email, phone and FaceTime. Your outreach makes a huge impact on his outlook on life, your strength feeds his desire to overcome this trauma and experience all he can in life.

We want to thank you for your acts of kindness, your words of love and support, and your financial generosity. Because of you and others, we can make decisions on Dylan’s medical care that may not have otherwise been available to us. Please keep Dylan in your prayers and thoughts.
