Sadly our special guy Lil Bit has cancer. He has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, which is a cancer in his Lymphnodes. Lymphoma is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in dogs. It fortunatley is also one of the cancers that has a very good success rate of going into remission if not being cured all together when treated with chemotherapy.
Lil Bit is only 8 years old and without this cancer would be part of our family for another 4 or 5 years at least. His Lymphoma, if left untreated will sadly end his life within months. With his chemotherapy treatment we are anticipating extending his life with us for at least another year. If youve ever met Lil Bit you know how much personality he has and how much he enjoys being around people and being part of the crowd. We do not want to lose him this early in his life.
His treatment is going to be very expensive, and we would never think to ask for help if it wasn't as important as this and its honestly very uncomfortable to do so. Any help you could do to help this little chunk fight his cancer would be aprreciated more then we can put into words.
The first trip to the doctor when we found out he might have Lymphoma.
Lil Bits first trip to the specialist. There he was given an emergency medication to bring down his Lymphnode swelling and help him immediately feel a little better. We haven't even started his Chemotherapy treatment yet.
