On November 20th Jenn lost all of her belonging in a tragic and bizarre fire that started from an improper tire change from a tow truck driver on her trailer. Jenn and her mom were packed up and headed to North Carolina from LA. It happened only a few hours after their departure in the Mojave desert.
The fire torched and destroyed everything including Jenn's motorcycle, car, screen printing equipment, vlogging equipment, wood shop tools & supplies, art supplies and sentimental belonging that cannot be replaced. If you follow Jenn on her IG (@jenniferschanuth) you know how much joy and fun her bike brought her .
Thankfully, they got out safely and drove back to LA in her smoke damaged and melted car that evening. A few days later they caught a flight to go to NC. *Her car was deemed totaled since then.
Jenn has been the primary care giver of her mother for the last 6 years. This traumatic event has caused layers of grief and heartache for both of them. Please hold them in your thoughts and prayers and they navigate the grief and trauma this has caused.
They are safe and have a place to stay temporally in NC but the road for recovery and restoration is a long one. The events have caused major financial devastation as well. Insurance will not even begin to cover the amount already spent to get from the Mojave desert, back to LA, over to NC. They have no transportation and insurance will not be enough for her to replace a safe vehicle for her and her mother.
I have known Jenn for 20 years and I can attest to her resilience, her tenacity, her compassion, her love for others and her passion and zest for life.
She needs us.
Now.
More than ever before.
Friends, if you have ever been impacted or touched by Jenn, her words, her love, her FUN spirit I implore you to give and help her and her mom rebuild what has been lost.

(Heck, if anyone in the Carolinas has a safe car to give to replace her '20 Honda CRV!?). Whatever is put on your heart - no matter how big or small, thank you for your generosity.
