We wanted to share an update on our sweet boy, Bentley. After being diagnosed with a foreign body obstruction and facing the possibility of emergency surgery, Bentley surprised everyone by passing the obstruction on his own! This meant he was able to avoid the risky and costly surgery we were preparing for.

That said, he still required an overnight stay at London Emergency Veterinary Services, where he was given IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication to keep him stable and comfortable. Thankfully, he’s feeling much better and is being discharged to come home where he can rest and heal while still being closely monitored for any complications.

While we are beyond relieved that surgery wasn’t needed, the costs remain high from the emergency care, hospitalization, medications, and diagnostics that got him through this scary time. We are so grateful for all the love, support, and well wishes we’ve received — Bentley truly felt it all.
