Help Cindy battle stage four pancreatic cancer
Donation protected
Dear Family & friends, we are sending out this request for Cindy Mader who has recently been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer that has spread to her liver. In stead of supportive care at this time, Cindy courageously has chosen aggressive chemotherapy for three months, to see if it will give her more time. Cindy will need a lot of love and support as she fights this demon like the superhero she is.
Cindy is a single mom who raised two boys on her own while putting herself through nursing school, as she wanted to give her boys the best possible life she could. Her oldest son has blessed her with two grandchildren, whom she loves dearly. Sadly, her youngest son Tyler passed away 10 years ago, a heartache she has had to endure ever since. Despite her own heartache, Cindy has taken care of our family as they were ill or passed. Cindy moved our dad into her home and took care of him while he was dying from cancer. Prior to Cindy’s diagnosis, Cindy had been traveling to California to help our mom, who has also been battling cancer. Cindy is the glue who has held our family together, always having our best interest in heart. My sister truly has a heart of gold, she has been known to be loud and proud but always true to who she is, this is what makes her so uniquely special.
Cindy has been a dedicated and compassionate nurse for 23 years. Cindy loved her job and loved caring for her patients. Cindy has worked in all departments of the hospital. No matter the station she was working, Cindy always had a passion for bedside nursing, she had a special way of connecting with her patients and their families. Cindy worked as a nurse in her 50’s during the Covid pandemic and got sick twice from it, however she kept going back to work to help others. Cindy has received many wonderful attributes from fellow patients, colleagues, and employers over her 23 years of being a nurse but the highlight of her nursing career was just winning the Daisy Award at her hospital, for her outstanding service as a nurse.
Unfortunately, Cindys husband has been dealing with severe health issues this past year, which has caused a financial strain on them prior to Cindy receiving this horrible prognosis. Sadly, Cindy had to leave her job as a nurse two weeks ago, as her pain is increasing and interfering with her everyday life. This has crushed her soul and put a further financial burden on them. My sister has spent her life taking care of others, my wish is that we all come together to take care of her in her time of need.
I have started this account on behalf of my sister Cindy, as I do not want her to worry about her piling medical debt, burial expenses, and the simple cost of everyday living, with everything she has to deal with. Let’s help Cindy conquer chemotherapy. Please, contribute to help make the next few months as worry free as possible for her, as no one should have to go through this!
Thank you in advance for your support.
Love & peace to all,
