Let’s get the Bernard kids into a permanent home

Last month I posted about a family I’m helping in New Rochelle. 7 family members were living in a 1 bedroom apartment. A great grandmother, grandmother, and the 5 grandchildren she took in when she found out they were living in an unstable environment. The grandmother gets very little a month from the government as part of her custody agreement, so she struggles to make ends meet. The apartment was in the great-grandmothers name, so when she passed, the family was kicked out of their home. We have put them in a hotel, with the thought that they would be in an apartment by December 1st. They have been approved for an apartment, but with the way our country works, they are being ansked for extra security deposit and last months rent. Their normal monthly rent will be paid by the City of New Rochelle. I’m hoping to raise money to get them into the apartment this week. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
