We have lost a treasure. Chelsea (Joey) Emma Grace Lamer passed away on Monday evening Nov. 28. For 31 years, she inspired students and colleagues alike as a celebrated instructor of Interpersonal, Intercultural, and Speech Communication. Her unique abilities to speak to the heart transformed thousands of lives. 

We have ceased accepting contributions as an anonymous person has come forward to cover the balance of the costs from an outside source. We are pleased to report that the overall amount needed was less than our goal. Your combined efforts helped provide what was needed. We appreciate the kindness and generosity of each gift and giver. Thank you for helping to provide an honorable resting place for our beloved and inspiring mentor. Please plan to attend her Celebration of Life event at Orange Coast College's Horticultural Garden on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 11:00am.
