My name is Katarina, and I am an opera singer from Serbia, currently studying in Austria at Mozarteum University. As I am finishing my postgraduate studies, I am finding myself at the threshold of a career that means the world to me.
Pursuing a career in opera involves participating in numerous auditions and competitions, which open the doors to potential employment. However, auditions and competitions come with substantial costs, including tuition fees (usually over 100€), summer programs (usually over 3000€), accommodation expenses and transportation costs. Since I am currently still studying and unable to work a full-time job, and life in Salzburg is quite expensive, I am struggling to gather enough money, and these financial barriers stand in the way of my potential career and my dream.
I recently made it to the finals of the prestigious Vincerò Competition, which will take place in Verona (December 8th-12th). Along with this competition, more opportunities are on the horizon (two auditions in Vienna, audition in Munich in February, ASLICO competiton in Italy in January, auditions for opera studios and opera agencies etc.), each with its own set of expenses. On top of that, there is one more semester at Mozarteum that needs to be payed (1200€).

Your generosity will directly fund the Mozarteum tuition fee, fees for auditions, competitions, summer programs and the logistical challenges of travel.
