Two years ago our dear friend Michelle was diagnosed with cervical cancer. After months of treatment at Dartmouth Health in Lebanon Michelle was given the good news that her cancer was gone and she was considered in complete remission. Unfortunately, the joy and relief that Michelle and her family have felt for the last two years with her remission was short-lived when Michelle recently received the news that her cancer had returned and this time it has metastasized and is terminal.
Anyone who knows Michelle knows she would never ask for anything but good thoughts, love, and prayer while she goes through this journey and we will give her that, but I am asking that we do so much more. Michelle has been out of work since this past summer and it looks like returning to work is not in her future. While the cancer is terminal, Michelle has started chemotherapy to give her and her family as much time possible with each other, as no one knows better than Michelle that each day is precious time and to give it all you have and wake up every day thankful for the new day. In 2003 the father of her children, her husband Joseph, died unexpectedly at the age of 28 of an undiagnosed medical condition. In one moment Michelle went from living her life with her husband by her side to a single mom raising three young children. Ally, Joe and Hannah are now young adults who will soon have to go forward with life without their father or their mother by their side.
Enduring cancer and chemotherapy treatment and the fear that comes with a terminal diagnosis are more than enough for Michelle to deal with at this time. Let us all rally together and take the monetary stress of all of this away from Michelle , Let her enjoy every precious moment, especially during this holiday season, without worrying about how she is going to pay the electric bill or keep heat in her house or even buy a Christmas present for her children. Let us make Michelle’s Christmas as Merry as possible!
Michelle is a fighter and she is fighting with every breathe she has; she has not given up and neither will we! No tears or sadness for Michelle, we will show her how much she is loved every day!
Every donation, no matter the size, will be appreciated and if you can’t donate, prayers, love, and good thoughts are always accepted!
