Lily’s Brain Tumor Surgery
Donation protected

Hi friends! We’re the proud pet parents of our precious cat, Lily Bear. We adopted her at the humane society 5 years ago and in those 5 years have made so many memories.
Unfortunately, late August of this year, Lily showed signs that concerned Anthony and I. Her first symtoms, she started foaming at the mouth, and then grew very tired, lethargic, wouldn’t eat or sleep, couldn’t function normally, and would walk restlessly in circles around the apartment. Feeling helpless, we tried to comfort her the best we could with blankets and love, but her symptoms were only getting worse. We finally decided to take her to urgent care with many follow up visits and no insurance, and quickly learned how expensive appointments could amount to. They couldn’t find anything wrong with her and told us to closely monitor her. They then recommended we take her to VERC to see a specialist.
We took Lily to VERC to see a neurologist, and they informed us that she was showing signs of seizure activity and needed to run more tests, specifically an MRI that would cost $6,000. Anthony and I felt so hopeless.. So we slept on it and decided that we would do anything for our baby. Our Lily had to stay overnight at the emergency clinic and after 2 nights, we received news that our poor little Lily Bear had brain tumor. We were absolutely devastated. The neurologist informed us that the best option for her would be surgery to remove the tumor, but that would cost us another $14,000.
Anthony and I tried our best to put on a brave face for our baby girl, but we were heart broken and struggling financially. She is currently on medication and has been doing great because she is such a strong girl, but we know our days are limited..
Our baby is only 5 years old. She turns 6 on December 24, and we’ve decided that we want to do everything that we can to help her live a longer life. Anthony and I humbly ask for your help during this difficult time.
For those of you who met Lily Bear, she is the sweetest, most loving cat. She loves ice cubes, pretzel sticks, beef jerky, and condensation from cold drinks. She loves everyone she meets and is not shy to jump up on the table and be the center of attention. Please help Lily to enjoy her life a bit more longer. It would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much in advance! Anthony and I are forever grateful.
