You Are Hear (Silent Disco Events)

#YAH!!! WE DID IT!!! Ya'll this is what community looks like! I can't even explain how blessed I feel! I'm just completely in awe that in only 10 days we were able to raise $5,000 because you all see me and believe in the vision I have for this company. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I promise I won't let you down. My goal for this company is to create a safe space for everyone to live in their truth. I am filled with so much gratitude from all the support you have shown me. As we all know, the startup of a company comes with a long list of expenses. The 5K that we have raised so far will be used for equipment and my LLC. And now, this community has encouraged me to STRETCH my goal by $2,500 to cover the rest of my expenses to start You Are Hear with confidence. This will be used toward the trademark (for both my logo and company name for the events and merch), marketing to get the word out, a computer to run my business, as well as a website! You all are a part of this new legacy for You Are Hear and I can't wait to share it with you.

And with that, I am hoping to make this stretch goal by January 11, 2024... It's about to be a celebration ya'll! ;)

Hello, my name is Megan Allen. I am a two spirited curvaceous warrior, artist, activist, story teller, musical curator, singer, dancer, community builder, and future business owner.

My passion in life is to bring love, light, and joy to the world. So, I am starting a Go Fund Me for my new company called You Are Hear--a silent disco that curates magical moments and childlike wonder. With this company, I aspire to bring community together and create a safe space to share joy for all people through music, body movement, laughter, and unity. I feel music has the power to transport people, help them heal, and create change.

I am well versed in the silent disco world in both New York and Los Angeles. This fundraiser will help me acquire the equipment and obtain my LLC license to get my business off the ground. My goal is to have my first event in February 2024 that celebrates all types of love. With that, I'm hoping to reach this financial goal by January 1st.

This business has been a dream of mine for two years and I'm finally stepping into my worth and betting on myself. If I could be transparent, I am nervous and scared for this new adventure, but excited to take this leap and to continue to learn and grow through this new era in my life.

You Are Hear as a company will represent diversity, inclusivity, awareness, acceptance, individuality, representation, change, solution, adventure, celebration, exploration, emotion, and allowing oneself to imagine again.
