Jake Kroeker's Medical bills And living expenses.

HI I'm Eva Loewen, I'm setting up a fundraiser for my niece and her family.

Jake had an accident. They airlifted him to the Dallas hospital, and going forward there will be several surgeries, also multiple trips to Dallas hospital. They Have 3 beautiful children. The youngest is a few months old where Susie had an emergency C-section, and has been sick for a couple of months with lots of medical bills from her as well. Momma and Baby are better now but now Jake got hurt. Please pray for the family and if you have a little extra, please donate.

Saturday, November 25, about 3:30 in the afternoon Jake was putting together a BBQ. As he was trying to hook a spring into its place with a screwdriver the screwdriver somehow ended up stabbing his right eye.

Immediately Susie brought him to Paris and from there he was airlifted to Baylor in Dallas. He got an initial surgery done there just to close up the cut in the eye. He was discharged early Sunday morning. On Monday the 27th Jake was taken back to Dallas and saw a few specialists. After doing some further testing and examinations the doctors have learned the damage to the eye is very extensive.

The screwdriver went into his inner lens and beyond rupturing his eye globe. Right now his eye is very swollen and doesnt have vision.

For now the plan going forward is to see the doctor every two days until the swelling has gone down enough to do another surgery. The doctor mentioned there would likely be many surgeries to get the eye fixed but it won’t be what it was before.

The chance of his vision coming back to his right eye is not very likely. But we are praying for a miracle.

With these appointments it is required to pay for them at the time he is seen.

It’s been a hard year in the Kroeker family this year and any help would be greatly appreciated.

While Jake is able to work lightly a few hours a day it will be many months before he is able to lift and bend over again.
