Stay Strong Derek

Hi, my name is Janice Barrett and I've created this GoFundMe on behalf of Derek and Ella (Elizabeth) Ropicki, and their beautiful children.

As many of you know on Saturday November 25th Derek suffered a massive stroke. Angioplasty was performed quickly upon admission. They were unable to get the entire clot out. He was transferred from Bridgeport Hospital to Yale Hospital to undergo a craniotomy. Derek has completed his surgery as of this morning at 5:00am (11/27/2023).

I have known Derek since I was 17 years old. He was always that person that had crazy amount of energy and always loved to have a great time. Most importantly he has always and continues to put his family before anything.

If you know Derek he is a very hard working and dedicated person. I know over the next couple of weeks and months it will be challenging for Derek and his family, both mentally and financially.
