BLIGH NEEDS SURGERY
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lucy and I met Bligh two years ago.
Every morning around 7 am I heard a dog barking sadly. I was not sure where he was. It turned out my neighbour Maria had a friend staying in her basement: Paula. She had a rescue dog who had separation anxiety. Paula had to leave to work every morning worried about Bligh.
I volunteered to walk Bligh every morning and bring him home until the dog walker could fetch him.
I started walking Bligh with Paula on the weekends and learned she was a cancer survivor. We became friends and I eventually got a puppy, Lola. Bligh became Lola's "mentor" teaching her to walk on and off leash.
All was going well... until it didn't. Paula recently was diagnosed with cancer. She is not working and undergoing intense treatments.
Bligh is living with her son while she recovers some strength.
Bligh has recently been diagnosed with a tumor in his lower jaw. He needs surgery and Paula cannot afford it.
This added stress is not good for Paula and Bligh may (or may not) be in a lot of pain. Dogs just wag their tail to everyone when they see you :)
