We're raising funds for our nephew Danilo. He was in a hit and run accident on his motorcycle. He had two punctured lungs, broken ribs and has a broken back. The money will be going to his medical bills, the therapy that he will need and some living expenses until he's able to work again.
Please donate to assist with his recovery (he will be spending Christmas in the hospital), any donation amount is gladly accepted, we would be very grateful for your assistance.
He's a hard working young man, loves to work out, made a lot of sacrifices for his family. Finally he was able to save enough money to buy a motorcycle about two months ago.
It's sad to see this 6'2 240lb handsome young man with his life ahead of him in a hospital bed.
The accident; he was riding in the right lane when a car decided to do a two lane right turn on a busy road, the collision sent him off his bike into a cement utility pole. The driver took off and left him there, fortunately this happened close to where one of his friends works. She thankfully was able to call the ambulance and to get him to the hospital soon after the accident.
His current status; His lungs have healed enough where he has been moved out of the ICU into a unit for back injuries. He is on a waiting list for surgery. He is still in good spirits despite what has happened to him. He lost feeling in his legs, we think because of all the trauma he experienced. He had a sense of tingling on his legs yesterday, hopefully this means the swelling in his back has gone down and he's getting feeling back in his legs. We're praying that he will be able to walk again after surgery.
Thank you for taking the time to consider helping him get through this accident.
Best regards,
Marli and Alex

Next picture is of the accident site with his bike in the front and the utility pole that the collision sent him into. Third is a picture of Danilo with his younger brother Davide. The next picture is of Danilo after one of his workouts. The last picture is the bedsore he has we're hoping that the new hospital he's in will be able to resolve this injury as soon as possible for him to be able to go home and start his therapy.
